Hi, I’m Pedro and this is a day in my life! I moved in BaseCamp Aarhus in January this year to start my Masters and it’s been quite the wild ride!
I initially moved in alone but my girlfriend, Benedita, joined me shortly after to work here in Denmark so there’s no way there will be any more boring days for me soon.

What you need to know

FAQs

What is the contract length?
Basecamp contracts are open, unlimited contracts that run for the duration of your education or unless terminated by either party (a 3-months notice period must be observed).
What documents do I need?
1. A copy of your passport (or local ID card for EU nationals) and
2. A university acceptance letter or copy of the student card if you are already studying.
When can I move in?
You may move in at any time during office hours after your contract start date. If you plan to arrive outside of office hours, please obtain confirmation from the managers. Detailed arrival information will also be provided one month before your tenancy begins.
What do I have to bring?
You need to supply your bedding and towels, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. Our team can help you look for the best deals and offer advice on where to find everything you might need. You can buy a bed set through basecamp, contact the managers for more information.
What about noise?
All Basecampers are requested to be respectful of other Basecampers. Noise levels should be kept to a minimum during the hours posted at the property.
What is the process for moving out?
Please note that the termination period is 3 months, and you will therefore be held responsible for full payment of rent and utilities until then. The termination notice must come from the tenant in a written form (email) and the termination period (3 full months) will be considered starting from the following month. The deposit will be returned after your tenancy has ended and the rental payments and utility bills or any damages for which you are responsible have been fully paid. The room must be vacated 14 days prior to the end of the lease. The Basemanagers will reach out to you with move out information around 1 month prior to departure date.

As well as 10 floors of contemporary art you can enjoy the the city’s best views from the rainbow panorama walkway on the roof of this two-Michelin-starred attraction.

Tivoli Friheden

A theme park that combines adrenaline-pumping has rollercoasters and rides with live concerts, flower festivals and special events during Christmas and Halloween.

Moesgaard Museum.

The past is brought to fascinating life in the Moesgaard Museum. Not only a breathtaking architectural feat, the museum is surrounded by nature with views of woodland and the sea.
