A day in my life at Basecamp Potsdam

I have been living in Basecamp for three years now. I often start my morning with a cup of coffee on the Basecamp terrace, which has a great view and sets a good start to my day. Since living here, I’ve gotten to know a lot of like-minded people and we frequently get together to play table tennis in our lobby or to have a movie marathon in the cinema! Basecamp events give us an opportunity to find friends away from home and build lifelong connections. Sometimes these events happen in the city, like visiting a football game or going on a picnic. I usually wrap up my day in Basecamp by taking part in one of such fun activities together with others!

What you need to know

FAQs

What is the contract length?
Basecamp contracts are offered for periods of up to six months. Staying longer is naturally possible. If you wish to enquire about it, please get in touch with the property’s local managers. Our team will be happy to help you with the necessary steps.
What documents do I need?
1. A copy of your passport (or local ID card for EU nationals) and
2. A university acceptance letter or copy of the student card if you are already studying.
When can I move in to Basecamp?
We are ready to welcome you on the first day of tenancy during our office hours. Additional information and keys will be handed out by the reception.
What do I have to bring?
You need to supply your bedding and towels, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. Our team can help you look for the best deals and offer advice on where to find everything you might need.
What about noise?
All Basecampers are requested to be respectful of other Basecampers. Noise levels should be kept to a minimum during the hours posted at the property.
What is the process for moving out?
The lease ends on the end date you booked. The right to extraordinary termination within the statutory time limits shall remain unaffected by the provisions of this section. Until the end date of the contract, you will be held responsible for the full payment of rent and utilities. The deposit will be returned after your tenancy has ended and the rental payments and utility bills or any damages for which you are responsible have been fully paid.

Sanssouci Palace and park

With its gilded walls, few buildings boast the grandeur and opulence of Sanssouci Palace. Plus, legend has it that Frederick the Great used to retreat here with his dogs back in the day.
