What you need to know

FAQs

What is the contract length?
Various options are available for you to choose from, but the minimum stay offered at Basecamp is a semester.
What documents do I need?
1. A copy of your passport (or local ID card for EU nationals) and
2. A university acceptance letter or copy of the student card if you are already studying.
When can I move in to Basecamp?
You may move in at any time during office hours after your contract start date. If you plan to arrive outside of office hours, please obtain confirmation from the managers. Detailed arrival information will also be provided one month before your tenancy begins.
What do I have to bring?
You need to supply your bedding and towels, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. Our team can help you look for the best deals and offer advice on where to find everything you might need. You can buy a bed set through basecamp, contact the managers for more information.
What about noise?
All Basecampers are requested to be respectful of other Basecampers. Noise levels should be kept to a minimum during the hours posted at the property.
What is the process for moving out?
Before you leave you have to empty, tidy and clean your room and make an appointment for the room inspection. The local team will come to check your room for cleanliness and any damages. You need to return your key. The deposit will be returned after your tenancy has ended and the rental payments or any damages for which you are responsible have been fully paid.

Mickiewicza Park

Also known as Adam Mickiewicz Park, this beautiful park is very popular in Łódź. The stunning lake plays host to a number of ducks and swans, with locals often frequenting its banks to watch them or ride by on one of several cycling paths.

Herbst Palace and Museum

Of the palaces in Łódź, Herbst Palace and Museum is the crowning jewel. It’s rich cultural history and stunning grounds that long to be explored by visitors. Inside, you’ll find a stunning art collection which can be curated by an audio guide, if you wish.

Manufaktura

Manufaktura is more than just your average shopping centre. Situated in a former 19th century indutrial estate and with 240 shops and boutiques to peruse, Manufaktura also has plenty of entertainment options such as theatres, cinema and even a bowling alley.

Piotrkowska Street

Right in the centre of Łódź you’ll find Piotrkowska Street. At 5km in length, it’s one of the longest commercial streets in the world – along the way you’ll find some of Łódź’s best pubs, bars and restaurants.

Aquapark Fala

When the weather gets hot, the people of Łódź head to Aquapark Fala to cool off. With both outdoor and indoor swimming pools – plus Finnish steam room and sauna, if you’re more inclined towards relaxation. It’s a great day out for all.
